Luis Gonzalez is a Division I Women’s Basketball Official in search of talented individuals who would like to pursue a career in officiating.
Prior to establishing Call It! in 2006, Luis spent 9 years working his way up the Division I Women’s Basketball ladder. He currently is officiating in the Big XII, Big East, ACC, Atlantic 10, Conference USA, Sunbelt, and Atlantic Sun Conferences. Luis has worked several conference tournaments and has gone to both the NCAA and WNIT National Tournaments. Luis is no stranger to basketball. In addition to playing High School and College, Luis also played 5 years of Semi-Pro Ball overseas. After his playing days, Luis coached High School Basketball prior to becoming an official in 1999.
Luis established Call It! to promote officiating and to give new officials the opportunity to learn the proper skills before being put on the court or field. Too often new officials are given a shirt and whistle and “thrown to the wolves” as they say. With the Call It! Officiating Program, new officials will learn the rules, mechanics and proper floor coverage before ever stepping out on the court or field. You will also be taught other important officiating qualities and be exposed to a number of training tools that will help you be the best you can be!
Call It! can also serve your officiating needs, including score-keepers and film crews, for your leagues, tournaments, and team camps.
